occupancy sensor and electronic ballasts.

Why cant i use a occupancy sensor with a electronic ballasts?
Its says it can only be used with magnetic ballast. I have been
using one on my electronic ballast t8s for 2 years and seems to work.
what can go wrong with this setup?
