i just bought a new kidde fire alarm it chirped every 30 seconds
after i put the batteries in. Its Saturday night and the 1800 help
line is closed.. then i checked and i put the batteries in wrong. if
you just bought a new kidde fire alarm or you put new batteries in

the thing starts chirpping check the batteries you mght have them in
wrong.. the stupid users guid dont tell you that ......your welcome

Look carefully at the way the plastic is moulded
for the battery compartment. You ought to see
an outline of the battery showing its correct
alignment.

The chirping alarm is a safety feature designed
into the product, intended to warn you if you
inserted the battery with the wrong orientation.

If the battery was installed wrong .. where is the alarm getting the power
to produce the chirp?

Hi Mike, I dont know, but Don is right, the battery was installed
wrong. after i checked the batterys and put them in right the problem
was fixed..

YOU my friend have just been duped by the Kidde Co. I would call them
and ask for the regular users guide as you have illustrated, you are
NOT worthy of the STUPID USERS GUIDE.... ;-)
