Default Carpet Cleaners? Do Any Really Work?

Consumer Reports gave an postive recommendation to OxyClean for Carpets.
I just used it last night to blot out a red wine stain on white carpet -
it worked great!

LOL--I was just about to chime in and say the same thing.

I'd tried Stanley Steamer's spot remover, vinegar, and only the
oxyclean succeeded in getting a very nasty red wine stain out of new
carpet!
