Trane AC 2TTR3042A for a 2,000 sq ft condo
After looking at Lennox and Rudd I installed a Trane 13 SEER 2TTR3042A
condenser and a Trane air handler model 2TEC3F42A1000A. They were installed on April 26, 2006. The cost after FPL rebate was about $3,700. It comes with a 10 year compressor, 5 year parts, 1 year labor warranty. I had to use a small air handler due to limits on the closet the air handler had to fit in. The condenser is larger then I would have liked since it sits on a balcony in front of a window with a view. It is far quieter then 7 year old 10 SEER Rudd it replaced. It was installed by AAA Modern Air in Ft. Lauderdale, FL by installers Doug and Josh. They arrived at 7:45 am and, despite not being able to fit it through the sliding glass doors on the balconey they finished at 3:00 pm. A lift unit was called in and they were able lift it to the second floor balcony with a mini-crane. It is an ugly gray color and someone should tell Trane to make their models in attractive colors. Hope this helps other consumers looking for AC units. |
