I am trying to better control moisture and flow of air under my house.
A termite inspection company that is treating my house has suggested Automatic Foundation Vents. These vents open at 70 degrees and close at 40 degrees. Here is a link to the product: http://www.tempvent.com/product_auto.html I have 16 vents in my house, and was given an estimate of $500 - installed ($31 per vent, down from $45). Cosmetically, they will look better on my 40+ year old house - - however, I want to know if they work. Some Questions: 1. Do these vents work and are they worth the money? 2. Any experience with temp-vent, or are they all about the same? 3. Any other advice on this subject? Thank you! |
