Best wood stain product

I have a wood privacy fence and I would like to put a semi-transparent
stain on the wood. There are a lot of companies that sell stains.
Would love any comments on good or bad on staining products. I have so
far read info out Cabot brands and Pittsburgh paints wood stains.
