Default Carpenter Ants and Boric Acid

Will Boric Acid still work killing even the large 1/2 to 1 inch
carpenter ants? For the past few days I've been capturing ants in a
boric acid bottle, coating the ant and letting it go hoping that it'll
take the acid back to the nest and it would kill them. They're still
coming and I've dusting about 8-10 by now.

Thanks

Maybe they are dusting themselves off before they get to the nest!

I learned this from a newsgroup. The person posting claimed it worked
for them. Do you suppose it would help if they injested this if mixed
with peanutbutter or just place peanut butter in the middle of a tiny
cup of boric acid?

Thanks! That's quite helpful. That also answers my question as to why
an ant was on the ceiling. They hide in light fixtures.
