Bryan ,
The shacks silver solder is my favorite due to its EXCELLENT FLUX , but is rarely worth the cost except on Surface Mount LSIs , and stuff that was not properly tinned when manufactured . I would like to try the Clear Flux type just to see if it is any good .. tim "Bryan" wrote in message .ca... Any recommendations for soldering electronic circuit boards. I am wondering if the lead free clear flux solder is better. Here is some examples from the local Radio Shack .05" ROSIN CORE SOLDER 64-6 $4.99 .05" Rosin Core Solder (60/40 Formula) 42.5g (1.5 oz.).
