Component Outputs and HDTV
Rogers had two digital terminals available for it's Cable Services. I
wasn't sure which one to pick up. One was a standard definition terminal (for analog sets) the other was high definition for HDTV compatible TV's. As far as I know, my set is analog BUT has the component outputs that the HDTV terminal requires. Does this mean I can view an enhanced picture (perhaps not strictly "HD", but enhanced) or will I get no picture at all? When I connect the component outputs to the one on my DVD player, I get an enhanced picture (at least I think I do). So what will happen if I connect a HDTV terminal to my TV using these same outputs? BTW, the terminal I am using is the Scientific Atlantic 8300. Bosco |
