Default WTB: DES encryption ICs (e.g. Z8068)

Hello all,

I am a collector of old computer hardware, mainly from Sun Microsystems.
In the early Sun 3/50 and Sun 3/60 models, there is support for hardware
encryption. SunOS supports this as well. You only need to plug in a DES
chip in the empty DIP-socket on the motherboard.

When the 3/50 and 3/60 came out, DES chips were of course a rare find
and not available outside the USA AFAIK. I would really like to play
around with a Sun 3 with DES chip, but can't seem to find those chips
anywhere other than at brokers who don't reply to my e-mails.

So, does anybody have one of those lying around and wants to part with
it? Or know where I might get lucky finding one?

It's the Zilog Z8068 or Zilog Z9518. What should also work is the AMD
AmZ8068 or AMD Am9510. Maybe even the Motorola MC6859 although I'm not
sure that is a drop-in replacement. It needs to be 40 pin DIP.

Kind regards,
Walter Belgers.
