Help with cable
Maybe someone can help me.
Looking for the name of this cable or the type of cable. Did a search on "ribbon cables" and only get computer type cables for hard drives and such. This cable runs between a small monitor and the curcit board. Trying to find out what these cables are called and if there are any uniform specs to these cables, (ie number of connections = pre-determined width). Would like to lengthen this cable by 4 or 5 inches for a project but unsure where such cables can be had. Pic of cable here. Sorry for the poor quality but you can tell what you are looking at. http://home.comcast.net/~kailamenjaro/ |

Looks like a flexible flat cable (FFC). They come in various terminations.
Look in the Digikey catalog he http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T052/0047.pdf John Musselman |
