Default DataView 17" LCD TV / Dead Backlight-Inverter System

Hello to all NG Members,

I am trying to help some Euro-friends who have a service shop but don't
speak English.

The item to repair is a fairly new DataView 17" LCD TV model "Davi" ?
1810-A. It has Euro TV reception + a VGA input.
The LCD backlight does not light, nor even attemps to. Voltage measurements
on the CCFL electrodes show zilch.

The inverter is a prime suspect, but without a schematic nor a P/N to search
for a spare they are stumped. The customer purchased the TV from an Internet
vendor and there is no hope of repair through this channel.

Any suggestions appreciated about finding a schematic for the inverter or
where to buy a replacement.

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Best Regards
