Default insulating tape

Does anyone know the correct name for insulating electrical tape. I'm
looking for the kind you see on electronics like laptops and mp3
players, its a yellowish tinted almost plastic like tape. All I have
been able to find is the regular black kind.

Thanks.

Do you mean "Insulating sheeting" ??
If so that would be available from a local electric motor rewind shop.
