Default Betamax Problems

I have 2 SL-HFT7 units that have problems loading & ejecting tapes.

My objective is to get one of them working long enough to dub 30+
Superbeta I tapes from my BMC-1000 over to DVD.

The first machine (the one with the best video) cannot eject, the tape
carriage gets stuck on the right side, it looks like the white nylon
guide does not move, and the left side of the cartridge moves toward to
tape door & stops, then the tape reloads. Is there a way to manually
remove the tape without damage?

I can get tapes in & out of the other machine by helping the process
with my finger. I could use parts out of the second machine since it
appears to have an electronics problem, maybe a bad head.

Glenn
