Hello Guys
Thank you for the reply. The chassis # TX808J. Transistor ST1803DHI What the problem was is when you trun it on the picture got too bright and shut down. So I knew it was due to a high voltage shut down. When I checked the Horz Output transistor, I found the Base to be shorted to the Emitter testing it in either direction. As far as testing for anything else being bad I did not do thatyet. I just wanted to see how hard it was going to be to find the part. I will start checking some other parts. Thank you for the help (dkuhajda/plotsligt) Jeff Remove NoSpam to reply, Thanks |

Better keep looking. Base to emitter is always a short when the
transistor is mounted on the board. Base to emitter 25 ohms out of circuit. Horiz outputs never, ever short B-E. Kahlua53 wrote: Hello Guys Thank you for the reply. The chassis # TX808J.
