Anyone around familiar with EPSON printers please? My C82 has suddenly
stopped printing colour. No amount of the software-driven nozzle
cleaning etc will get it working. Have cleaned the accessible
'needles', but zilch. So I'm trying to follow the instructions I
eventually found here to get the covers off, to do a few other checks

But that 'Figure 4.4 Upper Housing Removal 3'just doesn't make sense
to me. Whereabouts am I supposed to be looking? If it's the front
right corner, then it seems
to be showing the upper housing *already* removed. Yet it is telling
you how to remove it! The instructions are telling me to remove a
screw and an 'FFC', whatever that is. But first I need to locate them!

IOW, I poked and prodded in the 5 places where the so-called 'hooks'
are located (but using a screwdriver; no idea why the instructions say
tweezers), and the upper cover is loosened in places. (I just hope I
can get those hooks *back*, if I decide to abandon it at this stage.)

I'm sure this is one of those operations that turn out to be
relatively simple when you've done it once!

Also posting in printer NG, but hope maybe someone here may at least
know how to get the top off the darned thing!
