Default Sony TV Problem

I have a Sony KV32XBR400 32" TV that has recently started acting up.
While watching TV or movies every so often the screen will go black,
but the audio will continue fine. While the screen is black if we
change the channel or the imput the green indicator that tells you the
channel number or the imput type shows up perfectly fine, but still no
picture. The rolling blackouts range in length from less than a second
up to maybe 15 seconds, and have been becoming more frequent.
Any thoughts?

The power supply, protection circuits, or one of the scan amplifiers may be
failing. It is also possible to have a CRT drive fault, but this is more
rare than the first ones that I mentioned. Many times, it is capacitors that
cause these types of faults.

You will have to have the set properly troubleshooted, and serviced.

The speed at which it is going black gives a good indication.
If is slowly, like 2 to 3 seconds it indicates that the fillament supply is
faulty. This by the way is quite common.
