Toshiba 32" T.V.!!

M # CX32813, was dead, replaced 2SD1428 HOT, now shutsdown after 20 min approx! Replaced the "red" power suply capacitor, as well as horizontal drive cap, & all others that checked bad! Still does it! Ideas? Rono., Resoldered whole horizontal circuit, actually WHOLE SMPS and whole 2" strip area on that side where horizontal circuit is? This has vertical circuit, pincushion circuit, pair of regulators in there. There are more poor caps there as well because this area is so crowded. Their design of components layout too crowded together, type of solder pad made solder joints to crack. I had one like that, ended up junking that tv, it was 27" with similar chassis of this vintage. It is a DOG, I think tube is slightly leaking stressing the horizontal and SMPS causing chassis to shut down and have to reset it by unplugging & replugging. That was only one time that happened. I have worked on many toshiba sets with success in past except this one. Cheers, Wizard |
