I need to replace the 20k pot (broken) for the trigger level control in a
Tektronix 442 oscilloscope. The pot is a Clarostat, 311-1787-00.
The pot has three terminals at the rear and one at front center.

What is the front terminal for?

Is there a source for this part?

The front terminal is just for mechanical support,it gets soldered to the
PCB like the others. You could probably make one from a solder lug.
