I have a panasonic PC-29SF80A TV that will click on and off but has no
picture or sound. I can't detect the high voltage sound it usually makes.
Could it be the relay? I love the TV and have had it for 12 years.

No, very likely the problem is NOT caused by a faulty relay. The things
that can cause this very basic symptom are many and are varied.
The very best suggestion I can give you is for you to TAKE your television
to a service shop for at the very least a repair cost estimate so you can
make an intelligent repair decision with facts instead of internet or
telephone wild guesses.
A qualified technician with the necessary test equipment will actually have
to remove the back cover and do some basic troubleshooting and testing in
order to tell you what could be wrong and how much it may cost to fix
it...... otherwise, it is all guesses.
