Default help! monitor blanks out!

HI! i have an ICL 14C monitor. FCC JVP7133D. Monitor starts up fine,
Raster is okay, display is clear.. but just after a couple of seconds
the just blanks out! the LED stays GREEN (flashes when its on DPMS
mode).. heater filament stays orange. I can only bring back the video
when i flip the power switch quicky from OFF to ON.. then the cycle
continues... as minutes go on.. it does stay ON longer. until it
really gets stable --UNLESS i restart windows..

and the tale never ends.. there it goes again!

any ideas? thanks!

If the LED continues and you can continue to see the CRT heater lit, my
guess would be to look for either a poor solder joint somewhere in the
HV section or you might try moving the video cable to see if there is a
broken lead in it. If the Horizontal Sync is interrupted due to a loss
of signal it will do exactly what you describe. The cable is the most
likely place for such a problem, but it could also be internal as well.
