Default JVC TV V-chip unlock need

Can anyone tell me how to clear the V-chip channel lock on a JVC AV20220 TV?
I do not have the orig. remote, have tried a couple of universals but have
not been able to get one to operate the tv. Wondering if it's because the
channel lock is on why the universal won't work?
Using front panel button menu, it will autoprogram and can see the channels
flashing on as it passes them, but at the end goes to channel 2 and won't go
anywhere else.
Do I have a problem besides channel lock?
Any help appreciated.

Try pushing 0 on the universal remote and holding the volume down button
on the front panel, I think that's how you unlock the v-chip on my AV-
20F702.

Thanks, Robert, I'll ty that.
