Default mitsu-vs-5020r projo no picture

we are working on a mitsu vs-5020r projo
the main power supply board is good, there is no picture, no menus, no input
coming thru or audio. when input is cycled with remote and attempt to
switch to ch 3 on each input in an attempt to get atleast audio, we hear a
relay clicking upon switching input, but audio never comes in to verify that
we atleast are on the right channel. any ideas on what board might be
causing this lack of picture and audio, or what may be the prob. it appears
that the guns are not heating up, but ay be excessive dust on them that
didnt come off with blowing them off.

also we were curious without having the schematic for this one, what is the
connection on the powersupply board that says TPAG/GND, looks like a degauss
circuit hook up. could that be a remanant for another set that is not being
used or is there something that needs to be hooked there that could be
causing this problem?

You will need to check virtually every polarized electrolytic capacitor
(every one made by Nichicon or Rubycon at the very least) in the set for
electrolyte leakage, ESR, and DC leakage. Search the newsgroup archives for
Mitsubishi V10 and V11 chassis for more detailed suggestions on how to
locate the bad caps. If you don't get all of the bad ones before trying to
troubleshoot you will likely chase your tail.

TPAG shorted to ground simply forces the relay on for testing purposes. Be
cautious as vertical output problems are not uncommon and you can burn the
CRTs on some sets.
