Hi all,

Regards Stefan Airblast the entire disc drive of any dust. Also, airblast the insides of the optical pickup, but do so carefully as you can damage the pickup by doing this. Relube the kicker mechanism, which will include the worm gear and the sled trails for the optical pickup. Use only quality molytone grease. Usually, dust accumulation is the single biggest cause of PS-2 disc read problems, although a marginal optical pickup is also possible. - Reinhart |
