Default Zenith Color tv Model # H2017Y7 Color problem

This Tv set works fine for about 10 min and the color will go dark and
everything else stays ok (sound). turn set off and immediately back on and
it does it again after about 10 min.

Do you mean the chromanence signal, or the complete pix? In this case, I
would be looking for components that have become thermo sensitive with age.
This can be in a fair number of places to effect the luminosity in a
picture.

The tech would have to troubleshoot the set by first determining the stage
or area that is defective. Then he can proceed to find the components that
are temperature sensitive.

If you are not trained and experienced in TV service, this is going to be
very difficult to find yourself. You would be best off giving the set out
to a service centre for an estimate. There are many safety issues in
servicing TV sets.
