Philips VR457/03 rectifier diode (for 9-15 VDC) dies after couple of hours of operation
Hi, anyone experience with Philips VCR VR457/03 problems where the
9/15VDC rectifier diode in the power unit(BYW98-200) dies after a couple of hours (the usual semiconductor smell). I don't have the schematics but it seems this rectifier only drives the motor circuitry. I haven't been able to measure the current at the point it dies, but during the first hour or so, current is around 1A. Have checked/replaced the capacitors but no luck so far.... Thanks, Marcel |
