Hi, I have a Viewsonic 19 inch SVGA monitor, PS790 model
No. VCDTS21420.
works great but no color red, anyone seen this before?

Check your cable. (red pin may be broke or bent.) Red is the #1 pin.

Could also be a broken red wire in the actual video cable; try
wiggling cable close to the end where it connects to your PC's video
card. If this restores red, you will have to repair/replace the cable.
Also, could be a faulty VP463 video amp on the CRT PCB; usually one
section fails.
