Default Magnavox TV/DVD model CD13OMW8, "Dead"

Hi,

I have a Magnavox (Funai) TV/DVD model CD13OMW8 in my service
shop (no service manual) that won't power up. Power supply, H.O.T.,
horiz. driver transformer, horiz. driver transistor, etc. have been tested.
There is no H sweep signal (scoped) at the horizontal driver's Base when
the power button is pressed. Note: There is a response to the power button
press such as increase in AC current, regulated B+ increase for "run" mode,
but only briefly due to horizontal sweep not "running".

Since this is a 13" TV (with DVD player), I did not want to spend too much
time on this job.

I suspect that the missing horizontal sweep signal for the driver is
due to a defective "jungle" IC, but I did not circuit trace back to
the source due to additional time involved.

Anyone have the exact same problem with this model?

Thank You in advance, John

PS, Remove "ine" from email address if you reply via email.
