Taco Bender now behind bars for murder

DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) €“After more than a week on the run, a murder suspect is finally behind bars in Decatur County. Francisco Resendez is charged with the August 20th murder of Shorty Loredo. Investigators say a fight broke out between Loredo and three Hispanic men. They say Resendez then stabbed Loredo to death. A joint effort among Decatur County authorities, the GBI, the US Marshal service and authorities in Florida led to Resendez's arrest Sunday afternoon at a mobile home on Dogwood Road near the Florida state line. Authorities believed Resendez tried to flee the state but did not have the resources. |
