Alleged child rapist arrested in Bensalem

A Deputy Sheriff was driving through the Creekside Apartments
just after 11:00 AM June 8 when he was flagged down by a 10 year old
along with a family member, who reported that the 10 year old had been
forcibly raped a few moments ago.

The Sheriff contacted police who quickly learned they were
looking for 37 year old Jermaine Jackson who has no fixed address.
According to police, Jackson allegedly was caught in the act of raping
the child, when the family member came home. Jackson then allegedly
ripped a house phone from the wall and locked the two in a bedroom. He
made sure they did not have cell phones.

This prevented them from getting help quickly, and allowed
Jackson to escape. He was arrested several hours later in a wooded area
behind Hulmeville Rd., near the Franklin Mills Mall. Bail information
was not available at this time, police said.
