RoHS/PbF for customers
I have a disgruntled customer with a 2 year old amplifier built into a
vibrating box (combo amp and speaker). It has 2 failed solder joints and about 10 visibly and tug-test near to failure joints and perhaps 20 that will fail in the next 5 years perhaps. Where is there a non technical article on the WWW that explains the problems of unforgiving hard brittle solder/ tin pest . I can find plenty of stuff on tin whiskers which really only applies to fine geometry components , computers mainly. |
