toshiba CX35D60 broken - I turn it on and it turns itself right off
Suddenly, yesterday, my TV broke. It had worked great for years.
Here's the behavior: I turn it on, by plugging it in. The red light on the front of the TV goes on for a second, then it goes off. The TV is effectively dead. ----------------------------------------- I tried leaving it unplugged for hours before trying again. That didn't help the situation. ----------------------------------------- Any idea what could be wrong. Can it be fixed? Thanks. |

It can be fixed but unless you have significant electronics experience, you will have to take it to a professional. And, of course, decide how much you are willing to pay to fix it. This may not be a major repair as these things go but it's still not cheap. --- sam | Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ: http://www.repairfaq.org/ Repair | Main Table of Contents: http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/ +Lasers | Sam's Laser FAQ: http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/lasersam.htm | Mirror Sites: http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_mirror.html Important: Anything sent to the email address in the message header above is ignored unless my full name AND either lasers or electronics is included in the subject line.
