Re-solder FBT -safety concern
Hi,
my Panasonic Quintrix F 24" TV keeps stretching the display in the horizontal direction (objects became fatter). I was told that re-solder FBT section may solve the problem. I can reach the solder side without disconnecting the anode from the tube. My concern is should I discharge the anode & AC input filter capacitor before proceeding? Thanks in advance ck |

You don't need to discharge the CRT before soldering the FBT. --- sam | Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ: http://www.repairfaq.org/ Repair | Main Table of Contents: http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/ +Lasers | Sam's Laser FAQ: http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/lasersam.htm | Mirror Sites: http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_mirror.html Important: Anything sent to the email address in the message header above is ignored unless my full name AND either lasers or electronics is included in the subject line.
