General & Specific Service Mode Questions (LCD TV)
I own an LCD TV (Beko 32WLA520HD), and in its service mode (menu +
9301) are 3 options i'd like to enable: - Plug and Play on 'Option 0' menu, and 'EDID/HDCP' in the Adjustments menu (so hopefully my computer will recognise it as more than 800x600 resolution). - 'Dimming' on Option 3 menu (to dim the backlight I assume, thus making it last longer). My questions a Does enabling options that may not have the hardware to support them (such as these or Picture In Picture) risk bricking it (or TV's in general), or are there safeguards (I'm not planning on messing with the calibration stuff), and also has anyone tried changing the options I mentioned and can report back? |
