Have a 27" Proscan that works fine once you get it to come on, but
intermittently will not start up. When it won't start there is no 143 volts
standby voltage. There is raw 150 volts, actually more like 160 volts.
Haven't yet found any shorted or open components in regulator circuit.
Any tips on what is the most common component failure with these symptoms.
Thanks.

Replace the 15 Volt rectifier diode and check the electrolytic caps in the
regulator circuit.

Been out ot touch since email has been down, but think I have found trouble.
Turned out to be 2.2mfd cap in regulator circuit, but thanks anyway for
response. Your suggestion would have been right on. Thanks.
