Default REQ: RCA TX808H service manual

No audio on RCA TX808H tv. It's a 13" tv and should be relegated to the
trash pile, but it's my gf's dad's tv and he was hoping it could be fixed.

If it's not the speaker or audio cable then it looks like maybe some board
repair is in order.

Thanks in advance.

Did you check the speaker/wiring? Does it have a headphone jack that
interrupts the speaker? Many things can usually be checked/verified
without a service manual for a small tv like that.

I checked the speaker and wiring with multimeter, and everything is good.
The set has excellent picture, just doesn't have audio when powered on. No
headphone jack present; only video and audio inputs. This is about as
basic a tv as I have seen.

Here's something I just found out. Apparently, after the set is on for a
long while, maybe 2 hours, the sound starts working! And I mean it works
perfectly, so that eliminates the speaker and cable for sure (cable tested
perfectly after ohming it out.)

Warm-up problem maybe? But it seems that would happen a little sooner than
a couple hours. Also, after the sound started working, I powered it off,
then powered it back on again after a few seconds. The sound still works.
Seems like when something cools down, that's when it stops working.
