Does anyone know what test 05 fail 40 mean on power up. Also the
graphics have static in them, is this normal. thanks Joe |

Also the graphics have static in them, is this normal. thanks Joe If I understand the manual, it means there is a problem with the main board (bottom of unit). Check the power supplies at J119 (DIP socket) on bottom board near the rear panel for DC Voltages and AC ripple. Connect your meter negative lead to chassis. You should find these DC voltages on the following pins of J119: Pin 4 = 10 Vdc 8 = 87 9 = 42.4 6 = 15 2 = 5 digital 12 = 5 analog 5 = - 5 11 = - 8 1 = -15 All supplies should have less than 1mv rms ripple. I believe you have a supply with a lot of ripple. I have seen the readout all moisy caused by bad capacitors in the primary supply. It isn't a lot of fun to get at ! |
