Default Here is an odd one

I have an art Deco Medicine cabinet that has two floresant lamps on it,
that we want to use in a remodel old style bath room. These light works
fine but are psuh to start lights. one switch starts both lamps. My
question is! Is there any way that anyone knows to convert from push
stat to auto start either with starters of new balast???Not really a big
deal but would like it if they started from a wall switch rather than
push buttom on unit....

I'm guessing that they are just low wattage fluorescent tubes with a
push to make button ! In that case I would just replace the button
with an appropriate size starter. Just make sure that the metal case is
well earthed !

Look in Wal*Mart for a similar style but with a starter. It's the starter
that is the problem (manual), not the ballast.

Try any hardware store electrical dept. You may have to buy one as
part of a set of sockets, with the starter socket screwed to the side
of one of the sockets for the lamp itself. The pushbutton that came
with the lamps is actually two momentary closed contacts that are
electrically separate, one in each lamp circuit.
