Default Anyone reading here work on Plasma tv`s ?

I am in search of power suppy parts for AKAI ( samsung ) model 4290 42``
plasma .
Actually only one 1M0880 chip . The power supply has 3 of them on it .
Also need the 3 .. 20 ohm 7 watt stand up resistors if they are ok as
they fit in a small spot together on the board .

Also for a VIZIO model P4 plasma need the left side ( while looking at
the back ) screen driver board .

Searches for some of these parts is brutal . They want you to buy the
entire board for 400$ .
Emails sent to chinese vendors who have the parts on their websites do
not return emails .

I was hoping someone may have cracked screen junkers with the parts .

Thanks

There is usually no componet level repair on these. All BD replacement.
Good luck.

For these units, such as LCD and Plasma displays, there is very little
component level service supported. They change the complete circuit
board, or assemblies that are defective. If you contact AKAI service,
you can ask if they will sell you a replacement supply.

Many of the manfuctures will not sell replacement parts to non
contracted servicers for their products. They may ask you to ship them
the unit for service.

Thats what i was hoping for :-)

The cost of new replacement boards is usually at or over the value of
the set so i need to find junk pile sources . With parts many of these
larger boards are very servicable .
