Philips 60" RPTV (9P6031CI) won't hold focus or brightness
Hi all,
Tried the usual probing with a non-conductive stick on the flyback and other components and none seem to affect what is occurring. This happens with all 3 colors. It'll go dark to the point there is barely a visible picture then suddenly go to full brightness. The image also comes in and out of focus. No evidence of coolant leakage. Doesn't seem to be a heat related issue, as it does this upon power up and for as long as the set is on. I'll be pulling the boards to esr the caps and check all solder joints, but hoped someone has come across this particular issue and might have a solution or pointer on where to concentrate troubleshooting. Thanks, Jack |
