Default Panasonic M10 vhs video camera dead

A friend was given this in absolute complete condition, with every single
cable, manual...
Sadly, the camera is dead and will not power up, neither on line voltage or
battery.
I know about the capacitor problems but this unit does not even power up,
any common faults
in this model?
There's no led activity or anything.
Will open the camera later on.
