TV tuner module in Aonya DVD recorder
Hi All,
I have this Aonya DVD/HDD recorder, great unit, but fitted with a CDT 5APL15 tuner module - ordinary terrestrial analog tuner, which gives terrible TV quality. Problem is that the video signal from the tuner saturates, giving all the video a 'whiteout' appearance. Seems to be a common problem wth this, as the agents solution is to detune the channel until it looks 'better'. IMHO it still looks terrible. I can get perfect quality with an external video input, but that loses the facility of being able to setup and record from several different channels within the recorder itself. Anyone know of any way of reducing the internal video levels so it doesnt saturate, or a replacement tuner with the same interface ( I2C ) and better quality ? -- Regards, Adrian Jansen adrianjansen at internode dot on dot net Design Engineer J & K Micro Systems Microcomputer solutions for industrial control Note reply address is invalid, convert address above to machine form. |
