Default To uprate or not uprate ?

Midi system blowing one fuse of pair on secondary of mains transformer, each
fuse 2amp rating.
4 1N4002 as bridge rectifier, one gone short circuit, no other down-stream
problems.
Replace all 4 with 1N4002 or uprate to 4 off 2 or 3 amp diodes ?

No harm whatsoever in uprating the diodes. If you feel happier doing it, go
for it.
