Passing a house when the resident was putting a broken vcr in the bin.
She gave it to me instead. 20 minute repair job but now stuffed without a
dedicated remote control it would seem.
Goodmans VN9500S, a universal remote just controls the same transport
functions as on the front of the m/c. Stuck in on-screen menu mode to alter
output modulation frequency which stays altered in memory via remote even
after powering down but always starts again in this menu mode. I cannot
close the menu to enable Record even with Scart and active function
switching pin.
Any ideas as can only use as play-only machine , or fork out 17 GBP/35 USD
just to close down the menu function ?
