Default Philips 27RF70 problem

When turning it on the set just clicks and the red power indicator light
starts blinking twice every 1 or 2 seconds. No picture or just a flash of a
black and white one. I found that if I unplug the power and wait a few
hours, the set will come on normally. Before I take it apart does anyone
have an idea of where the problem might be? Thanks.

if you are aware of the dangers of working inside tvs and have
experience with a soldering iron, then start by resoldering any suspect
joints on the main pcb especially near the hv line stage and power
supply. If you haven't the experience or none of that made sense to
you, do yourself a favour and leave it for someone who does!

About 60 yrs of building and repairing electronic stuff including HV
power supplies and building my own TV in 1949 has made me well aware...
