I salvaged this laser unit from a laser printer that someone had
conveniently left in a dumpster. I'm looking for a way to make the stepper motor go, to spin the 4 sided polygon scanning mirror, so I can swap the old laser out for a 5mW red laser for a special effect. This is on the back of the module: LSU30D 135038629001A made in Japan the motor module inside says its also made in japan, and runs on 24V DC, but thats no help with the pinout of the 5 conductor ribbon cable coming out of it. - I'd rather not poke around - I don't want to fry it - I've found that the replacement part (for the printer) is about $150. I found out it is made by NEC, but I can't find a pinout or spec. sheet. Does anyone know where I can find it, or how to make it go? |
