Instructions to insert the + lead of C4 into hole 4-12 did nothing to educate the user about electronics. Once the novelty and interest in the buzzer and LEDs flashing waned, the user departed, non the wiser and no more knowledgeable about electronics than when they started. JR My Dad bought me a Heathkit set back in the late 50`s - Electronic Workshop I think it was called. It had three germanium transistors a diode and a photcell. I remember the manual was very explanetary, with the devices operation being described by a transistor shaped cartoon character.
