Relisys TE770 monitor
Only 3 years old, LED blinking and relay clicking on and off.
The "on/off" switch short circuits the mains SMPS side of the opto isolator to switch "off" the monitor, bit unusual. Disabled the line output drive and running from 50 percent mains and same clicking/ticking. Stable 7V or so on the driver side of the opto-isolator and a 7805 gives a stable 5V for the micro area. PS Ds and Cs seem ok Any ideas where to look other than tracing back from the relay, LED area and back to the PS rails. -- Diverse Devices, Southampton, England electronic hints and repair briefs , schematics/manuals list on http://home.graffiti.net/diverse:graffiti.net/ |

The IC contains three high input impedance, wide band amplifiers which directly drive the RGB cathodes of a CRT. Each channel has its gain internally set to -20 and can drive CRT capacitive loads as well as resistive loads present in other applications, limited only by the package's power dissipation. The IC is packaged in an industry standard 9-lead TO-220 molded plastic power package. See Thermal Considerations section. " Disconnecting that line the 12V comes up stable and the protection relay stops clicking. Any known generic problems with this IC ? |
