Hey guys , i have a Sony 27TS chassis tv and i got it free !!! anyway i
replaced the multiplexer first off and resoldered the tuner and agc and
jungle chip etc etc .. problem i am having now is it is flickering with the
brightness , it will go from normal to dark picture and flickers back n
forth from dark to normal picture and when it is working normally it has a
great picture unlike before when it would lose tuner and go to snow and
might i add that the sound was distorted due to the multi of course .. any
help on this would be appreciated as i am no longer in the service field and
not a member to tech web and others where i used to get tips from ...

Check for dry solder connections on the board to
the left of the board that has the Multi on it.
Check for same on CRT base PCB and else where.
Also measure the screen voltage and make sure its steady,
source is from IHVT watch for bad resistor and diode.

Thanks Kip that seems to have done it .. found an i.c. on that board with
bad connections
