Notebook floppy drive not working
I was recently given an old P133 notebook. It still works flawlessly,
except for its floppy drive, which doesn't read any floppy disk I tried. My system always sends a warning to format the floppy disk, even if it's already formatted and full of data. Is there any way to repair the drive or change it with another working one? The laptop is very old, so I doubt I can find another one around. |

It is a bad floppy drive. What brand is the laptop, I have quite a few
old ones laying around, I might get lucky and have one for you. |

If it's a very old laptop, the mechanism may be a standard desktop drive mechanism, otherwise look on ebay, there's lots of old laptops kicking around. |
